

FREE TOENAIL CLINIC
The Community Center is now offering our monthly Toenail Clinic FREE to members. This is a great benefit (the cost for nonmembers is $20!). The clinic is provided by Matthew Jenkins, DPM, and Benjamin Webb, DPM, of Northern Montana Foot and Ankle Specialist. Our next clinic is August 18. The Toenail Clinic is held every third Thursday of the month from 3 to 5pm. If you need further information, please call the Center at (406) 862-4923.


SNAP
Are you eligible for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)? Don’t miss out on assistance to help stretch your grocery budget. The Flathead Agency on Aging can assist you in finding out if you or a loved one is eligible for this program. The SNAP program can also be used at farmers’ markets to buy fresh produce. WE'RE IN!
Please support us! Whitefish Community Center is once again participating in the fundraising competition designed and operated by the Whitefish Community Foundation. The 2022 challenge will run from August 5 through September 16. There are 70 participants in the challenge this year. This is a great way to donate to the Whitefish Community Center because at the end of the fundraising period, a percentage of matching funds will be awarded to participating charitable organizatio


SENIOR DAY AT THE FAIR
SENIOR DAY AT THE NORTHWEST MONTANA FAIR is Thursday, August 18. Senior Citizens will get free entrance into the fair.

SENIOR FITNESS CLASSES RESUME
The Center is pleased to announce that Senior Fitness Classes will resume on Tuesday, August 2, at 10:00 am. The instructor will be the Center’s very own member Margo Mortenson. The classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 10:00 am. We are very happy to make this class available again to our members, so we invite you to come join in and get fit!


ADOPT-A-PARK
Summer is here, and in the spirit of getting outside and enjoying the anticipated warm weather, the WCC has partnered with Whitefish Parks and Recreation and agreed to be the custodian for our neighboring green space, Kay Beller Park. The Center feels that partnering in the “care” of our city and surrounding spaces is important, and Kay Beller Park is the perfect fit for us as the small park is adjacent to our facility, just west of our parking lot on the Whitefish River.
