Welcome Andy Hamer!

We happily share the news that Andy Hamer is now instructing tai chi at the Community Center on Wednesdays at 10am.

Andy moved to Whitefish in the early 1990s and soon came to appreciate the importance of community. Being shy by nature, he was surprised to be greeted openly and warmly by our friendly residents. The support freely offered by the people of this area was the main factor in his decision to stay.

He started his training at the Montana Martial Arts Studio on Wisconsin Avenue in 1994 and eventually took up a teaching role when his original instructor retired. He later took over the business, moved to a couple of different locations, and for the last ten years has been at 22 Spokane Ave.

In 2012, he achieved the level of Master Instructor, which has given him many new opportunities.

We invite you to join in this realm of tai chi, based in slow movements. The practice of tai chi, over time, will improve your sense of physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The philosophy comes to us from ancient Chinese masters. Are you a lifelong learner? Do yourself a favor and come see what you have been missing.
