Quilters Support Seniors

Stumptown Quilt Society recently donated three dozen Christmas-theme placemats to Whitefish Community Center. They will be included in the home-delivered meal program “Meals on Wheels.” Stumptown Quilt members make quilted items every year to donate to charities throughout Flathead Valley.
Meals on Wheels for Seniors is one of several programs coordinated through WCC. Volunteers deliver tasty, healthy meals to seniors’ homes, thus fostering the seniors’ independence. (For more information, call 406-862-4923.)
Stumptown Quilters Society is open to anyone interested in quilting. Beginners are welcome. The group meets the second Saturday of each month at St. Peter’s Church, 211 Wisconsin Avenue, Whitefish. A short meeting, fabric exchange, demonstration, snacks, project sewing, and socialization are on the agenda. If you are interested, please call Kathy Thomas at 892-4619.
