Whitefish City Manager Visits WCC

Adam Hammatt recently came to Whitefish Community Center to meet with several WCC Board members. It was his first visit and lasted forty-five minutes, during which he enjoyed a “nickel tour” and meeting our long-time site manager Kathy Cozad.

Adam moved to Whitefish from Wisconsin to start his new position as City Manager in March of this year. He was born and raised in Great Falls, and family members remain in that area. He is the father of five children, ranging in age from 5 to 22. The eldest daughter is due to be married in August. Adam has also served as an EMT/safety officer for St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula and as a firefighter/paramedic for Great Falls Fire Rescue.

Adam is well versed in policy and spoke eloquently of issues faced by the City of Whitefish. He knows a little about everything, including affordable housing, Baker Street ingress and egress, and doughnuts (not the ones found at Krispy Kreme). He said a goal high on his list of priorities is improving the city’s relationship with Flathead County, whose leaders often have their own vision of growth in Whitefish. He has offered to come back to WCC to speak to members about their own concerns.

For those of you who wish to continue the conversation, Adam may be reached as follows:
