A Family Program of Piano and Humor

Pack up your troubles and smile! Frank Kuntz is a pianist, humorist, composer, educator and film producer. He currently resides in Big Fork, but will be appearing at the Whitefish Community Center on Saturday, May 13, at 6:00 pm. Cost is $7.00. Come join us for an evening of laughter and wit. We will provide coffee and snacks after the event. Tickets can be purchased at the Whitefish Community Center or at the door. You will enjoy this one-man trio: Frank Kuntz, Piano, and Bench.

World Tai Chi and Qigong Day

All Whitefish Community Center members are cordially invited to attend a free beginner’s class in the art of Tai Chi and/or Qigong. Well-known instructors David Calabretta and Karen Nesbitt will be giving demonstrations and instructions for all ages and abilities. You are mistaken if you believe mind-body exercise is full of kicks, punches, grunts and shouts. Tai Chi and Qigong are so much more! How to Hunt for Big Bucks

The first Tuesday of every month is Senior Discount Day at Walgreens. Their cashier will be happy to sign you up. Once your phone number is in the system, you will be given 20% off many of the items they offer. The first Wednesday of every month is Senior Discount Day at Shopko. Same procedure: provide your phone number and you receive 15% off merchandise throughout the store. The first Thursday of every month is Senior Discount Day at Safeway. If you have a Safeway card, just remind the cashier that you are a senior and you will get 10% off your grocery order.

Take Control of Your Health & Wellness

Get out of your “funk” and learn some new life skills. This Stanford University Program presented by the Montana Department of Health and Human Services is designed to get your drive and energy back on track. It will run on consecutive Mondays, starting May 8, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Classes are held in the activity room at the Whitefish Community Center.If you are dealing with a chronic disease or condition, this program is perfect for you. If you feel you are not living your “best” life, come learn how to improve it.The program comes at no cost, but pre-enrollment is required.
